REGULAR CLEANING TIPS
Ensure the protection of your hardwood floors
- Sweep or vacuum with appropriate accessories to remove dust and dirt from hardwood floors.
- Place indoor and outdoor mats at entrances to absorb water and catch dirt and other abrasives.
- Immediately wipe up any spills from your floor to keep the wood from absorbing liquids.
- Remove dust and dirt from the felt pads placed underneath the feet of chairs and furniture.
- Place mats where spills may occur, particularly in front of the sink and other areas in the kitchen.

- Water
- Crystals
- Wood chips
- Pet litter
- Glass shards

- Sand
- Salt
- Calcium
- Other abrasives

- Avoid leaving dirt and spills on the floor.
- Use cleaning products recommended by René St-Cyr Enterprise: Finiteck or Surpass.
- Do not use household cleaners. They may contain floor wax, oil, strong detergents, or degreasing agents that can make your floor slippery or do temporary or permanent damage to its finish and shine.
- Carefully read the instructions on the cleaning product. Wipe the floor in the direction of the floorboards. Clean one small area at a time and wipe it dry before moving on to a new section.
- Do not use a wet mop or cloth that can leave excess water behind. This can damage your floor.
Note: Never use vinegar as it damages the finish of René St-Cyr Enterprise hardwood floorboards.
